Made with wool from our Devon Closewool sheep raised on our Salcombe farm and blended with other premium British wools, this blanket is an heirloom-quality piece that improves with age, becoming softer and more supple with use.
The Herdwick Colour Journey
Herdwick sheep undergo a fascinating natural colour transformation throughout their lives. Our blanket captures this journey through carefully selected yarns: Jet Black represents the newborn lambs, Chestnut and Dark Grey Natural reflect the transitional colours of the growing sheep, while Mid Grey Natural, Haze, and Light Grey Natural portray the mature Herdwick's silver-grey fleece. Each colour block in the blanket's design tells part of this remarkable breed's life story, from black lamb to silver adult.
