This king-size pure wool blanket begins with yarn from our Devon Closewool sheep, which is sent to Yorkshire where it's woven with other British wools in distinctive colours that celebrate the winter landscape of Dartmoor. The ombre design transitions through light grey natural, moorland grass, sage green, cinnamon, moss, and charcoal - echoing the muted palette of winter sunsets over the moor, from the dark grey of granite tors to the subdued hues of winter grass and dormant bracken. The careful processing enhances the natural qualities of British wool while creating colour combinations that complement both modern and traditional interiors.

This technique combs the fibres to ensure perfect alignment, creating stronger, finer yarn that's Z-spun and S-twisted. The finished yarn then goes to Bristol where master weavers create each blanket on traditional looms, maintaining complete British production that supports local expertise.
